Severin Reissl

Severin is a junior scientist at EIEE. He undertook his doctoral research at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (Milan) and Bielefeld University as part of the European Joint Doctorate "Expectations and Social Influence Dynamics in Economics" (ExSIDE), funded by the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme. The title of his thesis project was "Heterogeneous Expectations and Information Choices in Macro Agent-Based Models", supervised by Domenico Delli Gatti (Milan) and Herbert Dawid (Bielefeld). He also holds Master's degrees in economics from Kingston University London and Université Paris 13, obtained as part of the 'EPOG' Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s programme, as well as an undergraduate degree in economics from the University of Glasgow. Prior to joining EIEE, he held a postdoctoral position at IUSS Pavia.

His main research interests are in the field of computational macroeconomics, particularly agent-based and stock-flow consistent macroeconomic models, with applications to climate change, monetary policy and financial stability.

His research has been published in outlets such as the Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, Economic Inquiry, Industrial and Corporate Change, and the Journal of Evolutionary Economics.
